This semi fitted cardigan has a ribbed front panel and six ‘dorset’ buttons hand wrapped in matching yarn which look equally good done up or left open. It has ¾ length raglan sleeves which gently flare at the cuff. Also available in 50% wool 50% cotton, in this case we have used our new ‘radical’ boucle yarn and knitted it on larger needles to give it a lighter feel and excellent warmth for the weight.

The hand woven jackets and coats on these pages are made from a new and original yarn which takes boucle to a new level- to make ‘radical’ or ‘extreme’ boucle we’ve twisted the wool around the cotton ‘core’ in a manner so exaggerated and unpredictable that it gives the finished garment a unique look and texture – in cream it seems almost like it came direct from the sheep’s back.

We’ve used the yarn in simple but stylish natural cream and dyed black and also created two attractive tweed-like marled colours by artisan dip dying of the yarn.
