For something suitable for further layering opt for a lining in soft 100% cotton jersey.

Many styles come in two colour ranges, pastel shades to bring a touch of brightness and sunshine to even the darkest winter days and our rich dark, more muted shades – perfect for strolling through autumn leaves or for brisk country walks.

It is easy to overlook how much hand work goes into making our clothing and nothing

exemplifies the painstaking care more than some of the small accessories. Take the hand felting as an example. All the felt bags and the many smaller felt details, such as felt balls and flowers, are made by taking soapy water and raw un- spun wool, and massaging them together until the wool matts into felt. In the case of the bags, during this process of massage the shape of the entire bag including the handle is sculpted so it is one piece, with no seams, stitches or fixing holding it together. In many cases further detail is then added through hand embroidery, appliqué work or working in a separately made felt design.
